

Howard introduces the protagonist to a substance known as " Memory Residue" and explains that in order to change the protagonist's past, the substance must first be collected. After traversing the dungeon they locate Howard Blackwood, who appears to be running a general store within the dungeon. In their nightmare, they find themselves in an Otherworld-like dungeon. Curious, the protagonist decides to change some memories before falling asleep. The protagonist opens the book and finds that all of their memories are written in it, including all of their experiences and their entire life story. Howard Blackwood, the local mailman, assures the player that the book was meant for them before he departs. The protagonist receives a strange book on their birthday from an unknown sender from Silent Hill, Maine. Each alignment has different abilities and affects the end of the game.Plot Note: Silent Hill: Book of Memories is set in the year 2010. In addition, the game has an alignment system: Blood, steel, and light. To fight, the player’s character can find a variety of weapons. All of them must be defeated to get the pieces.

Break the orbs to see the appearance of monsters. Pieces can be found in rooms with challenging balls. Characters progress from each level by collecting puzzle pieces and solving puzzles. The task is to pass dungeons and defeat monsters there to gain experience points and improve their respective abilities. Players can choose from 5 character classes (Bookworm, Goth, Jock, Preppy, and Rocker). It changes with unintended and often unfavorable consequences. The player who takes on the main character is the recipient of a mysterious book on his birthday, which contains the whole story of their life. It is a sub-series of the Silent Hill video game series. Silent Hill: Book of Memories is a dungeon video game developed by WayForward Technologies and released by Konami for PlayStation Vita.
